Mit Gamut Area Index (GAI) – Lichtqualit\u00e4t messen<\/h2>\n

Wieviel „Bunt“ steckt im Licht. Ermitteln der S\u00e4ttigung von Farben mittels Gamut Area Index bewerten.<\/p>\n

R\u00fcckblick: Farbwiedergabeindex CRI<\/a><\/h3>\n

In den letzten Jahren ist das Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr gutes Licht gewachsen. Das war im Zeitalter der Gl\u00fchlampe nicht n\u00f6tig, da diese als W\u00e4rmestrahler \u00e4hnlich wie die Sonne funktioniert. Doch der Anspruch mit zunehmend alternativen Lichtquellen steigt.<\/p>\n

Mehr und mehr jedoch entstand das Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr Lichtparameter wie CRI (Ra) oder auch der Re, sowie seit neuestem auch TLCI, wie von der Filmindustrie gefordert.<\/p>\n

Diese kalkulierten Werte sind ein errechneter Mittelwert aus dem Vergleich der verf\u00fcgbaren Spektrallinien mit von 8, bzw. 14 oder gar 24 Referenzfarben.<\/p>\n

Sind alle Referenzfarben in ausreichender Intensit\u00e4t im ausgewerteten Spektrum enthalten ergibt sich jeweils 100% Deckung, bzw. z.B. ein CRI von 100.<\/p>\n

Man kann hier sozusagen von einer eindimensionalen Betrachtung und Auswertung des Lichtspektrums sprechen.<\/p>\n

CRI = 100 und dennoch fehlt etwas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gen\u00fcgt das zur Bewertung von Licht ? Oder warum ist es trotz hohem Farbwiedergabeindex m\u00f6glich, dass ein z.B. im Museum angestrahltes Bild nicht wirklich „lebhaft“ erscheint.<\/p>\n

Was steckt dahinter ? L\u00e4sst sich „Lebhaftigkeit“ messen ?<\/p>\n

CIE 1931 \/ CIE1976 – Licht zweidimensional<\/h3>\n

Jedem Lichttechniker ist das zweidimensionale Farbdiagramm z.B. nach CIE 1976 oder CIE1931 bekannt. Die Farborte definieren sich nach x,y- oder u\u00b4,v\u00b4-Koordinaten. Umgangssprachlich kennt man dieses Diagramm als „Farbsegel“ oder „Horse shoe diagram“. Dieses Diagramm stellt den vollst\u00e4ndigen Farbraum dar, den wir Menschen mit unseren Augen wahrnehmen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

Dazu muss ein Lichtspektrum erzeugt werden, welches auch vollst\u00e4ndig den gesamten Farbraum „ausleuchtet“.<\/p>\n

Die gute alte Kathodenstrahlr\u00f6hre, wie unsere fr\u00fcheren Bildschirme basierten auf RGB-Steuerung. Auch gibt es in der LED-Beleuchtungstechnik sog. RGB-Spots.<\/p>\n

Der Farbraum, den diese abdecken k\u00f6nnen ist begrenzt und im nachstehenden Foto klar zu erkennen. Die grauen Bereich werden nicht<\/em> vom Spektrum bedient.<\/p>\n

Die so beleuchteten Objekte wirken trotz gutem CRI dennoch leblos.<\/p>\n

Es sind also die Farbr\u00e4ume einer Lichtquelle, die eine gute S\u00e4ttigung, „Lebhaftigkeit“, Brillanz oder Nat\u00fcrlichkeit eines beleuchteten Objektes bestimmen.<\/p>\n

Jede Lichtquelle, ob LED-Lampe, Metalldampflampe, Leuchtstoffr\u00f6hren, Gl\u00fchbirne, etc. bilden ihren eigenen m\u00f6glichen Farbraum aus. Man spricht von Gamut Areas<\/strong> der Lichtquellen.\"Gamut<\/a><\/p>\n

Die Referenz f\u00fcr GAI (Gamut Area Index \/ Gamut Fl\u00e4chen Index) jedoch ist die des Tageslichts und definiert sich aus dem Oktaeder der Farborte der bekannten acht Referenzfarben aus der CRI-Berechnung.<\/p>\n

Im rechten Bild zeigt das blaue Octaeder den Referenzfarbraum im Vergleich zu dem einer aktuell gemessenen Lichtquelle (rot).<\/p>\n

Der Rest ist einfach. Zur Kalkulation des GAI werden die zwei Fl\u00e4chen mit einander verglichen. Ein GAI von 80 bedeutet z.B. das 80% der Referenzfl\u00e4che abgedeckt sind. Es ist sogar ein GAI von > 100 m\u00f6gich. So z.B. LED-Module von Xicato mit bis zu 120. Das bedeutet der abgebildete Farbraum des LED-Modules \u00fcberdeckt den Referenzfarbraum vollst\u00e4ndig.<\/p>\n

Vorreiter der Bewertung von Licht \u00fcber den Gamut Area Index sind Japan und USA, doch findet der GAI mehr und mehr auch Verst\u00e4ndnis in Europa vorzugsweise in Museums-Anwendungen.<\/p>\n

So empfehlen Architekten, LIchtexperten, uvm. Beleuchtung mit CRI > 85 und einem hohen GAI von 80-100.<\/p>\n
