Illuxtron offers for their products a large selection of LED power supplies in the version constant current sources = LED drivers, as well as constant voltage sources for e.g. 24V. As in a modular system, the right LED control gear for e.g. only switchable or dimmable via DALI, 1-10V, touch dimming and also triac dimming (phase dimming) can be selected.
Constant current power supplies are used for constant current operation of LED lights.The wiring is serial. In contrast, LED lights with e.g. 24V are connected in parallel to the corresponding 24V constant voltage source.

Features of the LED control gear (TCI) from Illuxtron

In accordance with health standards

Research has shown that flickering lights can have a negative impact on health. Especially in commercial and residential areas it is therefore important to use lighting systems with a low flicker index. The ripple-free TCI-LED drivers (<3%) ensure the lowest possible level of flicker.

Suitable for photo and video

Lighting with a low flicker index is a basic requirement for areas where cameras are used. With TCI power supplies you create a good environment for high quality photos and video recordings.

Overvoltage protection

The TCI drivers are protected against overvoltages up to 4 kV. This is far above the standard of 1 kV, many conventional LEDs can only tolerate up to 0.5 kV.The surge protection level of the TCI drivers also contributes to the very low error rate of around 0.2%.

Higher luminous efficacy thanks to ripple-free drivers

The TCI LED drivers are equipped with a multi-stage circuit to supply the LEDs with perfect current (pure direct current). This is also reflected in an approximately 5% higher light output. Low-quality drivers with a poor ripple factor, on the other hand, can cause problems such as headaches, eye strain, impaired vision or, in extreme cases, epileptic seizures.

Protection against overheating

During normal use, the temperature is below the maximum value recommended by the manufacturer. This guarantees a service life of seven years at an ambient temperature of 45 ° C.
