Wireless DALI-2 integration with Bluetooth 5

The wDALI-2 BT5 dimmer is coupled to the DALI bus via a separate wDALI-2 Bridge, enabling secure, encrypted wireless communication according to Bluetooth 5 standard. This eliminates the need for individual LED string wiring to central dimmers – ideal for luminaires in hard-to-reach positions or retrofit integration into existing lighting systems.

Independent color temperature and brightness control

In addition to the standard DT8 operating mode with a single DALI address, the dimmer offers two additional modes: Balance&Dim enables parallel control of brightness and color temperature mixing via two separate DALI addresses; Dim2Warm links dimming automatically with color temperature change (warmer when reducing). This flexibility supports both simple and complex lighting scenarios.

Universal voltage supply 12–28V DC

The input voltage range from 12V to 28V (SELV safety extra-low voltage) covers all standard LED power supplies. The maximum connection current of 4A can be freely distributed between the two PWM outputs (CW and WW), providing maximum flexibility in channel sizing for different LED modules.

Switchable PWM frequency for optimal LED adaptation

With four frequency ranges (122Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz), the dimmer can be adapted to different LED optics and applications. Higher frequencies are necessary for high-frequency switching circuits, lower for robust LED modules – configurable via DALI-Cockpit without hardware changes.

Calibration and professional configuration

The supplied DALI-Cockpit software enables precise LED calibration to balance between different luminaires in an installation. Additionally, start-up behavior (0–100% or last value), scene values, groups and device-specific parameters can be managed without external control units.

Compact housing design with flush-mount integration

The 41 x 28 x 14mm module fits in standard flush-mount boxes and enables direct luminaire integration. Protection class II at proper installation, protection type IP20 – suitable for dry indoor environments; spring-loaded terminals with push release facilitate wiring for cross-sections from 0.2 to 1.5mm².

Variants & Options

The wDALI-2 BT5 CW-WW LED Dimmer CV is available as a 4A variant (Art. No. 89453836-BT). System expansion requires a separate wDALI-2 BT5 Bridge (Art. No. 89453348 or 89453348-PS with integrated PS20 power supply) as transmitter unit.
