Applications
Multi-Zone Lighting Systems
Control of spatially separated luminaire groups in large-scale halls, production facilities, or logistics centers. A central DALI system distributes commands wirelessly to multiple receiver subcircuits in different areas.
Building-Spanning Lighting Networks
Connection of lighting in spatially distant building sections, outbuildings, or outdoor areas. Ideal for campus structures, industrial parks, or retail facilities with decentralized light distribution.
Retrofit Without Cabling
Expansion of existing DALI systems with new luminaire subcircuits without laying additional DALI bus lines. Particularly cost-effective for renovations or flexible room concepts.
Flexible Light Scenes and Broadcast Control
Central control of multiple subcircuits via group commands or broadcast. Enables lighting scenarios across multiple spatially separated areas with a single DALI command.

Product Advantages in Detail
Radio Technology and Range
The module uses Bluetooth 5 Long Range technology for reliable wireless DALI data transmission. In open field, the radio link achieves ranges up to 300m; in buildings, typically 10–20m is realistic, depending on wall penetration and metal enclosures. The unidirectional radio link with broadcast forwarding ensures secure command transmission to all assigned subcircuits.
Power Supply and Bus Supply
The transmitter is powered directly by the DALI main circuit (typical current consumption 4.2mA). The receiver can be powered either by the DALI subcircuit (Art. No. 89453321-GRR, 9mA) or by mains 210–250VAC (Art. No. 89453321-GRRPS). The mains-powered variant PS20 provides a 20mA DALI bus supply for up to 10 standard DALI loads. For higher current requirements, a DALI expander enables bus supply expansion.
Configuration and DALI-2 Compatibility
The devices are configured via DALI Cockpit PC software and a corresponding interface device. All modules in as-delivered condition are already linked with the same pairing number and function together immediately. The system fully supports DALI-2 control commands and enables flexible group assignment and broadcast control of subcircuits.
Standards and Electromagnetic Compatibility
The modules comply with EN 62386-101 (DALI standard), EN 61547 and EN 50015 / IEC CISPR15 (EMC) as well as EN 61347-1 and EN 61347-2-11 (electrical safety). DALI inputs are protected against overvoltage (mains voltage); connection is polarity-independent. Protection class II with proper installation.
Installation and Mounting
The devices are designed for installation in flush-mount boxes or enclosure mounting. Spring-force terminals accept single wire 0.5–1.5mm² or stranded wire with ferrules. When used in class II devices, proper strain relief must be provided. The dual configuration of DALI terminals enables simple bus connection pass-through. To optimize radio range, metallic enclosures and moisture sources should be considered.
Variants & Options
Three variants: (1) Transmitter (Art. No. 89453321-GRTM) wirelessly forwards DALI commands from the main circuit – DALI-powered. (2) Receiver (Art. No. 89453321-GRR) receives commands for a subcircuit – DALI-powered. (3) Receiver PS20 (Art. No. 89453321-GRRPS) like receiver, additionally with integrated mains supply (210–250VAC) and 20mA DALI bus supply for the subcircuit. One transmitter can be combined with any number of receivers.
Typical Applications
Production hall with four spatially separated luminaire groups: One transmitter in the main circuit wirelessly sends central lighting scenarios to four receiver subcircuits; switching all zones with one command without additional wiring. – Campus site with decentralized lighting: Building A has the transmitter, buildings B and C each have a receiver PS20 with mains supply; all outdoor luminaires are centrally controlled via up to 150m wireless range through trees and metal fences.
Safety Information, Certificates & Warranty
Standards: EN 62386-101 (DALI), EN 61547 and EN 50015 / IEC CISPR15 (electromagnetic compatibility), EN 61347-1 and EN 61347-2-11 (electrical safety). Protection class II (with proper installation). Enclosure protection rating IP40, terminal protection rating IP20. DALI inputs are protected against overvoltage. Operating temperature transmitter and receiver: -20°C to +75°C; receiver PS20: -20°C to +60°C. Relative humidity 15–90% non-condensing. When used in class II devices, proper strain relief must be provided.
