Sustainability

Less is more. Or in Linessa's case: making technical innovation affordable through clever product design. The end result is a light panel that consists of only 7 parts and does not need any glue, screws or tape. Linessa has a very minimalist design. At the end of its life, it is very easy to disassemble the product or implement a new LED module. In this scenario, we minimize material waste and keep it as low as possible. Compare this to common fluorescent lamps, which often need to be replaced.

Bartenbach Darklight-Technology - UGR11

Normal diffuser plates spread the light in all directions and create a lot of glare. The Bartenbach Institute helped us develop special reflector shells that ensure all the light is reflected the way you need it. Less glare in a Büro means fewer mistakes, fewer headaches and more well-being for your employees.

Best in class Lux/Watt

The normal lux number for a Büro desk is about 500 lux. With Linessa series, this can be achieved with less energy. Compared to a normal diffuser LED panel of 25-40W, it saves 25-40%.

No multiple shadows

As soon as you try to focus light on an object with several reflectors, a disturbing multishadow effect occurs. If you use 10 times more reflector shells than normal, this effect disappears.

Bespoke Versions

The metal plate can be easily changed to different dimensions. It is even possible to integrate a sensor into the plate or air sleeves for ventilation.

Less Light Pressure

Existing LED reflector technology panels have low glare, but were uncomfortable to work under. By adding more reflector cups we managed to achieve the best comfort available in any LED panel on the market. The pressure from the LEDs is divided by an enormous amount of LEDs.

Where can I get support and advice on recessed ceiling spots/downlights?

Recessed ceiling spotlights/downlights are available in many different versions. These parameters primarily define this product family:

Hole diameter - We recommend selecting the spots first, then drilling the holes. Otherwise the limitation is predetermined Output
Light output in lumens, or wattage. How much light is needed in the room. There is no general answer to this question. Use the following link for the project enquiry
Installation depth - usually a mandatory requirement in terms of drill hole depth or distance from suspended ceiling.
Color temperature dimmability - We recommend modern options such as DALI or Casambi.
Beam angle - For uniform room illumination. Usually determined by the distribution of the spots in the room and the room height.
Fastening - Installation in false ceiling or concrete ceiling Glare - Depending on the viewing angle, lower LEDs in the spotlight can often no longer be perceived as a bright point of light, thus ensuring pleasant lighting.

What different LED luminaires are available?

It is a challenging topic. A basic distinction can be made between these types of LED luminaires:

designer luminaires (the eye pays the price regardless of the technical design)
luminaires with replaceable LED light sources (less sustainable)
luminaires with permanently integrated LED boards and their own LED driver (most sustainable solution with the best efficiency and flexible options for dimming via DALI, 1-10V, etc.)
technical luminaires with special lighting tasks such as LED downlights.

What is the difference between lights and lamps?

Colloquially, they are often equated with each other. However, lighting experts make a clear distinction between lamps and luminaires.

This also applies to LEDs. A lamp is the typical light source (e.g. a light bulb) that is screwed into the socket of a luminaire. That already explains it. Luminaire is the system consisting of lamp, base, lampshade, etc. LED luminaires are available with a replaceable LED light source (lamp) and with a permanently installed LED module.
