• Dimming range 0.1 % to 100 %, PWM frequency switchable between 122 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz and 1 kHz – The dimming range goes down to 0.1 %, and the PWM frequency can be adapted to the camera or flicker requirements of the installation.

Product Advantages in Detail

In the DALI-Cockpit, 16 extended scenes can be set, which are repeated between two scene values once or alternately (loop). The calibration defines the minimum, intermediate and maximum value per channel; the factory setting is 0.1 %, 33 % and 100 %. This allows different LED modules to be brought to the same brightness curve.

Metal housings, moisture and sources of interference impair the radio connection, so the installation location should be checked before mounting. In the event of reception problems, a different position or orientation of the device helps. A wDALI-2 Bridge can pair up to 10 devices, and the BT long range option must be set to Off for pairing with wDALI-2 BT dimmers.

The dimmer supports three operating modes: DT6 (factory setting) with its own DALI address per channel, Balance&Dim with two DALI addresses for brightness and channel distribution, and Dim2Warm with one DALI address for simultaneous dimming and colour temperature change, whereby the colour table can be adjusted in the DALI-Cockpit. Changing the operating mode via the DALI-Cockpit or the SET OPERATING MODE command can change the number of DALI addresses, so that renewed addressing is required.

Typical Applications

An electrical installer retrofits an office building with constant-voltage LED luminaires and pairs up to 10 dimmers per bridge to a common control channel via the DALI-Cockpit. A lighting designer uses a tunable white luminaire in Dim2Warm mode in a residential area, where the colour temperature becomes warmer as the dimming value decreases.

Safety Information, Certificates & Warranty

The supply is exclusively with SELV direct voltage at V+ and V-. The device is designed for 4 A input current and must be externally protected so that this current is not permanently exceeded even in the event of a fault or short circuit. When installed in protection class II devices, proper strain relief must be ensured. Installation may only be carried out when de-energised by qualified specialist personnel, and the cable lengths between power supply, dimmer and LED strings should be as short as possible. If two dimmers are supplied via one power supply, mutual interference with visible light fluctuations may occur depending on the quality of the power supply regulation.
